5 Meals That Will Improve Your Sex Life

Last week we watched a PETA video, and for the first time ever didn’t roll our eyes in disgusted annoyance. The video touted the claim that vegans have better sex, which is an idea that OBVIOUSLY struck our interest, so we shared some of our favorite fruit and vegetables that scientists believe can improve your sex life.

Of course, we’d never actually become full vegetarian, because the sweet, sweet texture of barely cooked cow is just too sumptuous, but we’re down to add some of those aphrodisiac food items to the menu if it means we’ll feel a boost between the sheets. Today, as another installment of our May sexy-summer-slim-down series, we thought we’d share some our favorite meals that are healthy AND contain foods that could enhance your sex life. DOUBLE WIN.

Avocado and Shrimp Ceviche

As the weather heats up, this chilled seafood and avocado appetizer is perfect for snacking on with a Tecate Light or a skinny margarita. The avocados, as we learned last week, are high in folic acid and will give you energy for a marathon hookup sesh. Our only change to the recipe? Tortilla chips instead of saltines (WTF, SALTINES?). Whip up this easy snack on a summer afternoon before a dip in the pool with a sexy companion.

Healthy Chicken Salad

Chicken salad sandwiches – I always forget about them! However, if you’re trying for a summer slim down, the original mayo-packed recipe probably isn’t going to help your waistline. This healthier chicken salad nixes the mayo and substitutes fat-free Greek yogurt for a just-as-tasty salad that is also delicious tucked into pita bread, and contains celery, a food high in androsterone, which makes guys irresistible to the ladies. Bring a cooler of this recipe along with some fresh iced tea on a picnic, and just TRY to make her keep her hands off you!

Roasted Garlic Purple Potatoes

Uh, WHAT? Purple potatoes? Yes, that’s right – you can usually find these in your grocery store near the regular old Yukons – these are colorful and a different addition to your normal dinnertime fare. Add in roasted garlic, which helps blood flow to the nether regions, and low-fat sour cream, and you have a fantastic healthy side dish for any sexy date night.

Duck breast with Baked Figs

Try not to think of PETA or those adorable baby ducks you see at the park while you’re whipping up this ridiculously delicious meal of duck breast and baked figs. We promise any guilt you have will be wiped away at the first bite. The figs, if you recall, are high in amino acids and could boost your libido. Pair this with your favorite red wine and just see if you and your date can make it through the meal before tearing each others clothes off.

No-bake Peanut Butter Pie

If you’ve made it past your duck breast without making a detour to the bedroom, this dessert is a perfect end to an already sexy dinner, and it contains bananas, which can increase libido (and may reverse impotence, if that’s a problem you’re experiencing). Plus, it doesn’t require any baking, which is great for those summer nights. Buy a can of whipped cream for garnish – although you don’t necessarily have to use it on the pie, ifyaknowwhatImean.
