You know how much I love awkward news moments. This, this, and THIS, are just a few of the videos that make me giggle uncontrollably like a kid who just heard a fart in class. So when this vid hit the internet from our neighbors to the north, I couldn’t help but share it. I mean, it has all my favorite things:

Correspondents attempting “normal” banter? Check.
Weird sexual innuendo? Check.
Correspondent realizing mistake and then unraveling in a hilarious downward spiral or shame and laughter? CHECK CHECK CHECK!

I remember when I heard that MIA would be making a guest appearance during Madonna’s halftime show performance, I was a little shocked. MIA prides herself on being anti-establishment, and the fact that she would perform during the most pro-capitalism event of the year seemed a little, um, off.

However, it all made sense when MIA decided to put a little unplanned spin on her appearance, dropping an S-bomb and flipping off the camera during her, Madonna, and Nicki Minaj’s performance of “Give Me All Your Luvin’”.

Some people are saying she was making a statement, others think she was being classless. I think the biggest crime was THAT OUTFIT.

It’s so close to being Super Bowl weekend, you guys! “But the Super Bowl is only on Sunday!” you might be thinking – wrong. Super Bowl begins tonight, when you argue with your friends about who is going to win, and then tomorrow, when you prepare for the big party by stocking up on chips, chicken wings, bean dip, and beer, and then, of course, SWEET, GLORIOUS SUNDAY, when millions of Americans gather around their TVs to curse and binge eat and pretend like they could totally do a better job of coaching than those idiots.

However, every wonderful event has to be punctuated by something awful to make you appreciate the rest of it, and this year that cringe-worthy punctuation comes in the form of a zombie skeleton named Madonna, who will perform at the halftime show with her terrifying arms ablaze and haunt our dreams for the rest of the month.

Luckily, we have a little video here to prepare you for the onslaught of elderly that we’ll all be experiencing come Sunday: this music video for Madonna’s new single “Give Me All Your Luvin’” (yes, with a U), featuring Nicki Minaj and MIA. With its football theme and incredible Photoshop job making Madonna look almost life-like, this video will give you a taste of the mess of this year’s halftime show. Deep breath, everyone. Brace yourselves.

The first question asked if singles were looking to find love, and we were happy to see that for the most part, people aren’t actively searching out a relationship, but instead are waiting to see if one finds them. We have found that being open to meeting new people but not being constantly on the hunt for a boyfriend or girlfriend is the best way to find a relationship. I mean, just check out our nearly 30 weeks of testiMOANials – they show the exact same thing!

This next poll question, as you can see, is one of our favorites… it shows that online daters are opening up to the idea that sexual freedom isn’t something to be ashamed of! With a whopping 58% of singles saying that they’ve had a one-night stand, we’re excited to see that people are having fun, hooking up (and being safe about it, we hope), and letting relationships and marriages come when and if they do.

And now – the gold mine. According to the study (of over 5,000 singles), marriage isn’t the first thing on singles minds anymore! While in the past, being an online dating site member meant that you were looking for a marriage right away. Now though, it seems singles aren’t sure that marriage is ever necessary. At only 34% of the total population, it appears that people actively seeking marriage are actually in the minority, compared to the group of people who aren’t sure and those who are POSITIVE they aren’t looking for wedding bells!

This may just be one survey, but with such a big population (from such a mainstream site, no less!), it puts a smile on our face to see that so many singles are realizing what we’ve known for years: marriage is slowly becoming obsolete, and finding love doesn’t mean searching endlessly for “The One,” you can just have fun, date, and hook up, and love with find you!

When Justin Bieber released a Christmas steampunk music video late last year, genuine steampunks (those people that walk around looking like futuristic broken clocks) were infuriated. How could this little twerp take their sacred lifestyle and share it with teenage girls? HE TOTALLY RUUUIIIIINED EVERYYYYTHIIIIIIIING.

So I wonder how they feel about the video from slightly-less-cheesy, but definitely still mainstream Nicki Minaj. Her video for the song Turn Me On featuring David Guetta is about as steampunk as you get, and let’s be honest – it’s pretty bad ass.

This morning I woke up, got out of bed, stumbled to the kitchen to get some coffee and pour a bowl of cereal, and then on my way to my computer, I tripped over the power cord to my laptop and it pulled my laptop off my desk and onto my foot and I spilled my coffee (on both myself and my laptop) and then I sat on the floor and almost cried while my dog stared at me like, “you are quite an idiot, human.”

But somewhere in the world, there are people that can do THIS on a daily basis. It takes all types, I suppose.
